Rivero: En esta nueva división ofrecemos un servicio de producción digital completo
Six months ago, Cortez Brothers started a new division together with Havoc Content, called The Foundry. Ed Rivero, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of the company, explained that this initiative arose to satisfy the large amount of digital requests. They resolved to create a specialized division that would allow clients to have access not only to the directors of their roster, but also to others directors who specialize in this format and do the entire production.“We offer a full-service digital production house that includes post, effects and still photography with a ‘millennial’ approach” highlighted Rivero. “Since The Foundry is a division of Cortez Brothers and Havoc Content, it gives us the flexibility to work across the general and the U.S. Hispanic markets, as long as we find the right director for the project. Currently, we have about 30 filmmakers in the mix, and they’re all very agile, creative, and familiar with digital budgets.”They are opening satellite offices in different cities like L.A., Miami, Chicago, and New York. Rivero pointed out that they are partnering with local directors and finding stellar digital talent in each city.“There is a new breed of filmmakers who aren’t just Directors…Sometimes, they are also Shooters and Editors and their entire approach is more inclusive, and it is almost like you’re hiring another creative to the team to execute your ideas. Our Foundry directors wear many hats and their productions are very agile— they’re coming from a different place so they don’t get bogged down in how television campaigns were produced a decade ago, they’re focused on finding solutions for today’s visual content in a very non-traditional way” he added.Until now, they have been working with agencies like: Conill, Marca, LatinWorks, Zubi, Telemundo, and brands such as: Harley Davidson, among others.
