Raghunandanan: En J&J entendimos que la diversidad es importante
A diverse organization, an authentic culture and the willingness to take risks are, according to Manoj Raghunandanan, Marketing VP at Johnson & Johnson, the ingredients for success in the multicultural market. So he said in his talk entitled Diversity and Inclusion, Ingredients for Successful Multicultural Commercialization, which he delivered at the 17th ANA Multicultural & Diversity Conference in Miami. “At J&J we understand that diversity is important. We need straight talk, even if it’s uncomfortable” he said. During his talk, the executive highlighted the role of industry leaders and their contribution as brand representatives and team leaders. “Diversity is good for business. No matter what your brief says, what’s important is to have honest conversations and an open culture, and that will spark better results.” As for diversity in inclusive teams, Raghunandanan said that 87 percent of employees feel welcome, 87percent feel free to express their emotions and 74 percent feel their ideas are respected and listened to. “Employees with inclusive managers are 30 percent more willing to unblock their innovative potential, while those who feel they can be themselves in the workplace are 42 percent more likely to stay in their jobs.”
