Susan Credle, Global CCO at FCB; Gretchen Carlson, Journalist and women’s empowerment advocate; Judy A. Smith, Founder and CEO at Smith & Company; Rukmini Callimachi, Foreign Correspondent at The New York Times; Nancy Weber, Executive VP and CMO at Meredith National Media Group; Kristin Lemkau, CMO at JPMorgan Chase and Savannah Guthrie, Co-Anchor of the program TODAY and Chief Legal Correspondent. They are the seven women leaders of the communications industry that were acknowledged by the Matrix Awards 2017, presented by the New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) on Monday, April 24th.“We are thrilled to recognize these seven notable women for their relevant achievements and contributions” said Jacki Kelley, President of the NYWIC and COO at Bloomberg Media, Bloomberg LP. She added that these leaders “are leaders who truly connect the world.”“For me, the Matrix Awards 2017 is a boost to move forward, to understand that even after three decades into a career, there is still an opportunity to do more” said Susan Credle from FCB, one of the seven winners. “I am fascinated with the change of perspective that comes with experience. I wake up each day thinking something wonderful could happen, and it generally does.” She advised anyone who wants to follow her footsteps to be generous with themselves and with others.These awards are recognized as the most prestigious in the communications industry. They were created in 1970 and have awarded a long list of exceptional women in the fields of advertising, books, TV, cinema, magazines, news media, newspapers, and public relations.
