More dynamism, growth and versatility are the key elements coming after Teads acquisition by Altice, announced on Monday 21st. PRODU talked to Eric Tourtel, Teads’ SVP for Latin America about the meaning of this new move. “This means that we’re going to be totally independent, more dynamic due to Altice’s financial standing for more investment, and therefore, a growing company.” Altice accounts for more than 50 Million unique fixed and mobile clients worldwide, more than 30 Million of which are located in the U.S. and France. “It possesses an exclusive data with great value that will let us know many things about users such as where they are connect, and if we want to impact them in different screens, now even in TV.” He added that this acquisition places Teads in the world’s first division, becoming “the third force worldwide in video, after Facebook and YouTube.” The acquisition combines Teads and Altice complementary strategic assets, including: Teads relationship with 94 of 100 best advertisers of the world; association with more than 500 premium publishers worldwide and 8,000 specialized publishers in vertical, and a powerful platform of digital edition with a leader global reach, among others. The senior management team of Teads, including Executive Chairman, Pierre Chappaz and CEO, Bertrand Quesada, will continue to lead the business and have agreed to reinvest a significant portion of their proceeds. Chappaz will join Altice’s Management Board responsible for all of its advertising activities.
