Mauricio Galván, Anomaly Creative Director expects to see at the Wave Festival in Rio high-quality pieces that will call the shots at other festivals. Galván will be jury in the Cyber and Mobile category “This area is always interesting because it’s where you see new things.” Although each festival has its own criteria when judging, he points out that it is important to go one step further in trying to evaluate the ideas impact, beyond if they are good or bad. “The amount of great ideas we see today, forces us to raise the bar and award those ones that made noise.” The number of options to create messages and points of contact with people continue to grow, he maintains; however, a clear brand message or an easy way to interact has lost amidst because technology is something new. “The challenge is based on how to use those tools to connect the best way possible.” He assures that the Hispanic market will re-edit last year Festival’s success. “ALMA as great work, which I think didn’t manage to enter in 2016, such as The Last Emoji, Narcos from Netflix and others.
