Álvaro Rodríguez and Gustavo Briceño from Histeria Music: The Understanding of the Serie Bloodline Is an Advantage when Recording and Directing Actors

The second week of January the music and post-production company Histeria Music, based in Miami, started ADR works for the serie Bloodline, produced by Sony Pictures and distributed by Netflix. “We had the pleasure to record with Kyle Chandler, John Leguizamo and Norbert Butz, key and main characters of the serie” explain Álvaro Rodríguez and Gustavo Briceño, Sound Engineer and Designer in Histeria Music. As Bloodline followers, their knowledge on actors role and intentions in the play are considered advantages when recording and directing the actors.Histeria Music has two audio rooms with their respective recording cabins and sound systems. Ross Alexander, Acoustic Designer based in Miami, designed both rooms. The studio’s main room has an 11x11x11 feet big recording cabin, with floating ceilings, important for ADR works. “In that cabin, we have an HD TV set, Shotgun and Lavalier microphones; condensers and dynamics by brands such as Neumann, Sennheiser, Audio Tecnica, Sure, and Miktek; Beyerdynamic as well as a Sony headsets for the talents.”Histeria Music also offers the ISDN and Source Connect services. “These services have been key for synchronizing video and audio with studios in California and other regions where we have worked ADR, voiceover and dubbing recordings worldwide” he commented. The company shares offices with Grove Studios, a shooting and photography studio. “When recording at Grove Studios, clients can record perfect film audios in the studio without moving.”
