Hispanicize 2017 announced that its 3rd Annual Tecla Awards will be held at the historic Olympia Theatre, considered one of the southeastern United States’ most impressive arts and entertainment facilities. The awards, that honor the best in Latino and multicultural social media and those who create it, will be presented on Thursday, April 6th to culminate the weeklong Hispanicize Event. “The 2017 Hispanicize Tecla Awards will rise to another level at the most historic theatre venue in Miami and with an unbelievable line-up of presenters that will underscore why the award has become so highly respected and coveted across our shared national community” said Katherine Johnson-Gunn, Executive Producer of Tecla Awards and Co-Founder of Hispanicize Event. “We’re thrilled to be part of this powerful program that will showcase everything that makes our community the perfect home to host Hispancize annually” said City of Miami Mayor Tomás Reglado. Nominations for the Tecla awards are being accepted thru January 30th. The public can nominate their favorite creators – including themselves- for any of the 20+ themed categories. This year the awards categories include: Top Blogger, Top Digital Journalist and Best Content Creator in Latin America. The Creator of The Year award is the only award that will be voted on by the public starting in February. The Marketing & Campaign Tecla Awards categories will be announced later this month.
