LAPIZ closed 2016 with growth regarding clients, revenue and team. Gustavo Razzetti, EVP and General Director of the agency, explains that they have diversified their service scope. “We have relations with clients worldwide (Mexico Tourism), North America General Market (Advance Auto Parts, ACH Foods, Mexico Tourism) and at a local scale for Latin America (Purina).” Regarding talent, he mentioned the incorporation of Luciana Cani, in charge of the Creative Department as SVP Creative Director. “In the Planning Division we added Services. We have strengthened our capabilities in the social media and digital area, and continue developing internal production.”With the recent conquest of the Advance Auto Parts account for the general market, along with several clients that continue to strengthen their relationship with LAPIZ, 2017 is going to be a year full of challenges and growth. “There are a lot of projects ahead. The most important one is to continue challenging the model for how an agency operate. We are obsessed with having a “learner mindset.”Virtual reality is growing, he says, but it is still in its infancy, when compared with its potential. “As so many other things, it is likely that it will become the toy of the year. The most important thing is to be clear that tools come and go, but brands’ role is increasingly minimized, so they have to contribute solutions that stretch beyond entertaining or generating engagement.”
