Cisneros Interactive Is Investing $2 million in Audio.Ad

To empower Audio.Ad, expand its operations in Brazil and Central America, and strengthen its position in the U.S. Hispanic market, Cisneros Interactive -digital advertising division of Cisneros- announced a $2 million capital investment in the Latin American digital audio advertising company. Cisneros Interactive acquired a majority stake in Audio.Ad in March of 2015. “We are thrilled and encouraged by the company’s fast progress. It is no secret that users of all ages are listening to music and talk radio on their computers and smartphones. Just like what happened with desktop advertising, and later with mobile, users are the first to move to new platforms and advertisers follow close behind” said Victor Kong, President at Cisneros Interactive, in a joint press release. Carlos Cordoba, Managing Director at Audio.Ad, said that his company has made significant investment and progress in educating the market on the usage and benefits of audio advertising, running many successful campaigns. “During the past year, we have consolidated our offer and experienced solid growth in these markets, solidifying our leadership position in Latin America” he said. Audio.Ad was founded by German Herebia and Cordoba, and is the first network of audio spots to serve Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. This allows advertisers to place audio advertising spots in traditional radio stations’ live online streams and digital audio-streaming services heard on a variety of connected devices.
