Gustavo Razzetti from LAPIZ: In A Creative Industry Recess Time Is Very Important

Gustavo Razzetti, Managing Director at LAPIZ wrote in his blog about the importance of having time off at work to play and feel free. “Time is a lot like freedom: we all want more but, the moment we have it, we don’t know what to do with it” he explained. “We live in a time where routine and unskilled tasks are being absorbed by robots or autonomous technology. More than ever, we have the priceless opportunity to repurpose “human labor” (and time) into something more meaningful. Instead of thinking how you can do more things in less time, ask yourself: ‘what really drives my work?’”The creative expressed that busyness is killing people at work. “We’ve allowed it to take over our lives. As a leader, I believe we must do something to remedy this. That is why, earlier this week, we announced to the entire organization our new ‘Recess policy’: a time to pause at work” he stated.At LAPIZ they understand that their people are their only asset and they care and respect them as individuals, and value their time as well. “By providing them a pause, our team will be recharged to give their best when they focus back on work” he pointed out. “Recess is meant to play and let go. Being playful at work is a fundamental mindset that we need to bring back to work but, especially in a creative industry like ours.”
