In the framework of the closing of the 2016 IAB MIXX Conference, Jimmy Maymann, EVP and President of Content and Consumer Brands at AOL, spoke with Betty Liu, Anchor at Bloomberg TV and CEO at Radiate, about the benefits the company has gained after Yahoo was bought by Verizon. “This has allowed us to generate greater capability to do research, to change the way we observe the world.” The first year has been very busy, he said, and it has allowed them to move forward in the business they wanted to do.“The ad industry is a wave of consolidations” he sentenced. He pointed out that the partnership with Yahoo has enabled them to tap into their business structure and programmatic content, benefiting from the development of these activities.“Content, abilities, and categorization matter and that is why Facebook is a giant in the market, but if you categorize areas it is more important for handling and approaching clients, especially for the development of programmatic advertising.”
