The #ImProudTobeMexican campaign developed by Wing was awarded with a gold Lion in Outdoor, subcategory Charities, Public Health & Safety, Public Sector & Awareness Messages. “We are very happy for this gold Lion. In the last years we were after it but we always finished on the shortlist” said Facundo Paglia, Creative Director at Wing. “Its also an award to the effort of the whole agency. We worked a lot to create distinctive ideas that deliver results” he told PRODU. Ricardo John, CCO at J. Walter Thompson Brazil -who served as Outdoor jury- told PRODU that the campaign talks about the present and consist in something that is almost in real time. “When this campaign states: We dont judge you, it expresses very deep things in a very light way. And people like things that are light and easy to understand with which they can connect, relate and identify with. He added “that its a very good campaign for Mexicans pride and for North Americans to notice that some of their ideas -not the majority, of course- are totally wrong about this”. Dont judge came as an answer to the U.S. immigrant issue. “For some years the agency has been highlighting the importance of Latinos in the U.S. Not in vain brands have decided to talk to Latinos and even they accept their influence over the rest of Americans.”
