Maureen Castle of Sky Films: IQ has evolved thanks to the creative growth of its members

Principal Director and Producer of Sky Films, Maureen Castle -who is also organizing the 2016 Miami IQ Conference- shared with PRODU her expectations about the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers (IQ) 50th anniversary. This celebration will be held between September 25th and October 1st at the Biltmore Hotel during its annual forum. For Castle, IQ is a very strong organization. “Its really a family of filmmakers that share the challenges they face within the industry, and within each of our companies. So we are all facing a changing industry in how people view what we create, how we budget projects for theatrical and/or web distribution, issues such as that. I feel that IQ is needed now more than ever.” “I’ve been connected with IQ for over 20 years now, and the growth of the organization has been tremendous to see. It has not been about the size and scale of the organization,but rather the caliber of the members that’s grown. To see a fellow filmmaker’s company that started out just ten years ago and now they’re producing internationally at the highest quality is inspiring she said. The new members entering IQ are using the latest technology in incredibly creative ways. So it’s the creative growth of the members that’s truly the impressive part of how IQ has evolved over the years.” She assured that the real learning will happen during the conference through experiences sharing and face to face conversations.
