La agencia hispana maneja a NY Lotto, un cliente del mercado general
Thursday, June 2nd, the 2016 Radio Mercury Awards celebrated its 25th edition. These awards acknowledge the best radio campaigns in the U.S. The Hispanic agency, Casanova//McCann, won in the category of Agency/Production Spot for its piece Kitty for New York Lotto. The campaign was aimed at the general market. “We are very happy with the award, even more so because it was in a difficult category with many participants. The campaign is very entertaining and is based on true facts; it illustrates with humor that in New York there are people who are not such good millionaires, they waste their money on ridiculous things. What we are communicating to our target is that they would probably be better millionaires if they won the lottery” Elías Weinstock, EVP and CCO of the agency told PRODU.This is another case of multicultural agencies producing content for the general U.S. market. Mark Gross, EVP and Creative Director of DDB Chicago, was the President of the jury panel in charge of selecting the winners. The Radio Mercury Awards are the only ones who exclusively recognize radio pieces. It was founded in 1992 to promote and reward the effective and creative development of campaigns for radio. Contestants come from agencies, production companies, radio stations and education institutions across the entire country. Approximately 17,500 commercials have competed for over $3,100 million in awards.
