Daniel Marcet, CEO of FIAP, announced to PRODU that for 2017 the festival will change its format, from content to awards. “We are aiming to be unique and different in the region and at a global scale. The idea is to include in the festival everything that has to do with the creative and innovative industry worldwide. To show what is being done, involve people in what is being done, revalue art. We want to gain back that quota of art that used to be present in advertising communication” he pointed out. With dynamic programming, comprised by more interactive talks and more global lecturers, Marcet stated that, respecting the essence of the Iberoamerican festival, they will try to find a way to access what is happening around the world. For Marcet creativity renders value to everything, specially when there is uniformity in the services. “Creativity in our region is fresh, transgressive, the same as in Asia. If Latinos are not creative they don’t survive. New generations have it in there genes: they are always looking for new paths, technologies. This is an evolutionary stage in communication.”The 47th edition of the Festival took place in Mexico City from Wednesday May 18th to Friday May 20th.
