The closing date for entry submissions to the 2016 Wave Festival has been extended until Monday, April 4th. The agencies in the U.S. Hispanic market, as well as those in Puerto Rico and Latin America can send their pieces to compete in the advertising festival that will be held in Rio de Janeiro on April 13th and 14th. The event is organized by the Brazilian advertising and marketing publication Meio & Mensagem, in alliance with Ad Age.In the 2015 edition, 10 Hispanic agencies won trophies. All the pieces were judged onsite in the Copacabana Palace in Rio.On this occasion the Hispanic market has five judges in the Wave Festival: Ivan Calle, Executive Creative Director at Zubi Advertising, who will judge Press and Outdoor at the Wave; Javier Campopiano CCO of Los Angeles-based Conill and Saatchi & Saatchi Latin America, and will judge Film and Film Craft; Curro Chozas, Creative and Innovation Director at independent shop Grupo Gallegos, will also judge Film and Film Craft; Fernando Osuna, CCO of López Negrete Communications, will judge both the Direct and Radio categories; and Guillermo Tragant, Creative Director of Richards/Lerma, will chair the Branded Content category that the Wave started last year, and join the other Jury Presidents in judging the Blue Wave Award that celebrates big ideas.
