Nelson Cabrera y destacados actores del cine chino

Nelson Cabrera, Managing Director of Cherry Sundae Media, shared his experience on several shootings during the first quarter of 2016. He has filmed in China, Thailand, Atlanta, Cuba and Los Angeles big campaigns for different brands. “I enjoy very much when I work in China because it is a flourishing market. Scripts and ideas are very free and creative. The system is pretty different, you work with big investments” he told PRODU.The shooting in China for Wrigley’s is the sixth he does. He worked in alliance with BBDO South China on a very big project that had international casting. “We brought an Italian actor from Los Angeles and looked for the star in three Chinese cities” he explained. The campaign is for the entire Asian market and will be launched in April. It is thought for TV and the movies. “The editing and color correction was done in an editing studio in Hong Kong that is very good. The advantage is that I speak Mandarin and communicate well with the team over there”. In the U.S. he made four commercials for Aaron’s aimed at the Hispanic and the general markets. They shot with actors from Miami, Los Angeles and Atlanta. “I’ve done casting in eight different cities around the world in very little time” he said. “What I enjoy the most about this process is that the world has become very small”.Cabrera is also filming a baseball documentary in Cuba called The Sugar Kings that will be released in 2017.
