New innovations will be part of the 2016 Ibero American Advertising Festival (Festival Iberoamericano de Publicidad – FIAP) including new categories such as the Consumer Award (Premio del Consumidor), Technology, Start-ups and Networking. The event will take place between May 18- 20 at the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel in Mexico City. The firsts jury presidents in some categories were announced on Thursday 8. Among the industrys representatives that will lead the juries are: Álvaro Rodrigues, Creative VP at Africa Brazil in TV, Film and Radio; Leo Macías, CCO at DDB Colombia for Graphics, Public Road and Production Techniques; Leandro Raposo, Creative President and Founder at The Cyranos/McCann, Spain in Media innovation, Promotion and Marketing Categories; Fernando Carvalho, FatBastards Founder, Brazil in Audiovisual Production Techniques; Martín Hazan, President and Co-founder of Nextperience, Argentina for Internet; Carla Eboli, CMO at Dieste US in Press and PR; Norberto Zylberberg, SVP and Group Creative Director at LatinWorks U.S., will lead La Copa, and Domenico Massareto, Founder and CCO at IDTBWA, Brazil, for Creative Students. For this years FIAP awards the central theme is the future, the conference is entitled 2036, and tries to sort out the industrys challenges in the next 20 years.
