Fox News Latino and ESPN One Nación are uniting to co-sponsor the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) Student Journalist Project at Hispanicize 2016.The NAHJ Student Journalist Project is part of the first national convention for Spanish-speaking journalists. The event is being launched within the 7th annual Hispanicize conference, that takes place April 4-8 in downtown Miami.The journalism project gathers students from several universities across the country with full time journalists to produce daily news content from Hispanicize 2016 for the news platforms of Hispanicize, Fox News Latino and ESPN One Nación. This experience is being curated by Senior Director of Multicultural Content at ESPN and immediate past President of the NAHJ, in partnership with Francisco Cortes, VP of Fox News Latino.”This program is all about uniting forces to support the NAHJ and its future crop of journalists” said Cortes. “Hispanicize is packed with so many powerful Latinos and great content that it is the perfect platform from which these young journalists can get some terrific experience.”The 7th edition of Hispanicize will have the largest journalism showcase in its history including a roster of speakers that features news anchors, top reporters, commentators, researchers and media leaders. Among these: Rick Jervis, from USA Today; Nina Terrero, from Entertainment Weekly; Adrian Carrasquillo, from Buzzfeed; Grace Solorzano, from Telemundo Miami; Fernando Peinado, from Univision Noticias, and many more.
