Gustavo Razzetti, EVP y Director General de LAPIZ
For EVP and General Director at LAPIZ, Gustavo Razetti conventional organizations have established unhealthy dynamics for the productivity and integrity of their human resources. “Only 13% of the worlds workforce, according to Gallup, feels connected to their job, while the rest is disengaged and even sometimes is boycotting their employer” he explained. Razetti invites companies to adopt models that challenges the establishment. “In LAPIZ we have made a habit of challenging our inner perspective by bringing in outsiders with a fresh view when working on a project” he said. He explained that differences are the starting point to allign a group. “People want to learn from others, want to be challenged, need other perspectives to improve their ideas. This doesnt mean its an easy and comfortable process, but is a starting point for alignment” Razetti suggested. “As a leader, I try to encourage differences instead of censoring them.” For Razetti the solution is creating more favorable works environments for cooperation and understanding, where employees happiness turns into productivity. “Happiness is a state of mind, is not something that can be provided and happens inside each person: accepting themselves. Organizations should promote a culture of self -and others- acceptance, rather than trying to instill happiness at work. It can sound naive but when people feel they can express themselves freely, they will improve their job performance” he concluded.
