Sprint and Samsung Electronics America partnered with Saber es Poder (SEP) to increase the adoption of technology through educational tools. The goal of the campaign is to help Hispanics maximize the use of technology as a tool to improve their lives. Roger Solé, Commercialization Director at Sprint, added: “Sprint is proud of partnering with Samsung and SEP to reach the members of the Hispanic community with viable and accessible information. We are eager to remain connected with local communities, partnering with valuable people and organizations such as Prince Royce, who truly bring life to our purpose of progressing which we express on Twitter as #MoveForward.”According to an interview between SEP’s mobile members, more than 90% has smartphones and 51% said their mobile device is their only Internet access point. “Research consistently shows that Hispanics have more smartphones than other populations, but in many cases don’t make the most of the benefits of their mobile devices and plans” pointed out Amir Hemmat, Executive Director of SEP. “Sprint and Samsung are excellent partners in this initiative since they really understand the role of technology and the importance of informing communities about their options” he added. The campaign will be launched on Monday January 18th through SEP’s digital platform and community centers in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, New York and San Antonio.
