Hispanicize formed an alliance with Sundance Film Festival and Latino Filmmakers to promote Hispanic talent within the North American film industry. Despite the Latinos integration in U.S., this group is under represented in the Hollywood stories and films. As part of this effort, Hispanicize is preparing the second Latino Filmmaker Mixer to support their involvement in the industry. The meeting will take place on January 25, 2016 at Park City, Utah, during the Sundance festival. “Our increasing presence in this initiative -developed by Maylen Calienes and Latino Filmmakers- aims to get the attention of all Latinos underrepresented in the film industry” said Manny Ruiz, Founder of Hispanices entertainment platforms. “Latinos are practically invisible in the entertainment industry. Hispanicize is committed to lead this initiative which goal is creating opportunities and nurturing growth of Latino talent.” The mission of the Latino Filmmakers organization is expanding the role of Hispanics in the industry. On this occasion theyre offering a space in one of the most prominent world festivals. The festival will acknowledge them with a talk to promote their talent and devotion. “Given the success that we had in our last event, we are excited of working once again with Hispanicize, to bring life to this great event that will be meaningful for the Latinos film community in such a relevant occasion” said Maylen Calienes, Latino Filmmakers Founder.
