Los famosos cachorros no volverán a los comerciales porque no tienen impacto en las ventas
The puppies -that had played a key role in the Bud ads in the past two Super Bowls- will remain out of the 2016 game and might never come back. The reason? Because no matter how cute they are, apparently they don´t sell beer, which is why the company will have a more “product-focused approach for Super Bowl 50. They [the puppies] have zero impact on beer sales. Those ads I wouldn’t air again because they don’t sell beer” assured Jorn Socquet, U.S. VP Marketing for A-B InBev. “While the puppy’s story line won’t be reprised in February, the Budweiser Clydesdales are icons of the brand and will most certainly make an appearance” announced Socquet. Socquet added that “Budweiser aired two very different spots in last February’s Super Bowl, and we learned that content focused on the quality of our beer was most effective in generating sales”. The two Budweiser commercials starring puppies for the Super Bowl were produced by Anomaly, the brand’s agency of record, and were directed by Jake Scott. Both commercials generated quite some buzz on social media.
