El comercial celebra las posibilidades del futuro y del nuevo auto con combustible de hidrógeno

October 21st, 2015, Toyota presented its new Mirai with a {spot;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?noti=10079} inspired by the film Back to the Future. The iconic date represents the arrival of Marty McFly to the present and the celebration of the film’s 30th anniversary. The commercial introduces one of the first hydrogen fuel vehicles available for sale in the U.S. The stars of the spot are Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) and Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown). Droga5 was the agency responsible for the campaign. The spot begins when a vehicle scientist decides to meet with Fox and Lloyd to show them his latest experiment: a car that only needs garbage for fuel. Through the music and locations aimed at fans of the 80´s film, they show all the technological and ecological virtues of their new car. The vehicle is already being sold in Japan and in California, U.S. Bill Fay, Toyota Division Group VP and General Manager, stated that “this Back to the Future-inspired milestone has taken 30 years to arrive, and Toyota has been developing hydrogen fuel cell technology almost that long. There´s no better way to generate excitement for a turning point in automotive history than with a film that celebrated the possibilities of the future”.
