
Mastrángelo: Nos apoyamos en las redes porque es la manera más directa de comunicarse
The goals of the event Unidos Somos Moda are to make Hispanic designers known and at the same time support a good cause. Mariela Mastrángelo, executive producer of One Media Group and producer of the charity event, spoke with PRODU about the multi-brand runway that seeks to raise funds for the foundation The Tooth Healer for Children Around the World, which, in turn, works together with the Nicklaus Children´s Hospital. “This year we will have several designers from different countries: Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela and Spain. All on the same runway” commented Mastrángelo. The event, which has grown year to year, adds Mastrángelo, is growing in other countries. “This concept of uniting so many designers on a runway is innovative. We are planning to take this format to Colombia and Argentina.Among their influencers -still in a preliminary stage- are the following celebrities who have confirmed their attendance to the fashion show: Scarlet Ortíz, Venezuelan actress, Elizabeth López, Cuban host and runner up in Nuestra Belleza Latina, Daniela Di Giacomo, the fashionista from Gordo y la Flaca. And they are in conversations with Stefania Fernández, ex Miss Universe (2009). “We are using support from social media. Today, it is the most direct way to communicate. We use social networks very much, as well as press campaigns in which Alessandra Villegas is the spokesperson, ambassador of the event”.The event will be held on Wednesday October 14th in the Flamingo Theater.
