Amazon convirtió sus cajas en espacios publicitarios para la película Los Minions
“What is pretty, yellow and could arrive at your door soon?” That is how Amazon asked in its Twitter account to promote the labeling of their boxes with images from the Minions, due to the upcoming debut of the film. The tweet redirected to a link in a microsite of its enormous online store especially devoted to products from this franchise from Universal Studios. Immediately, clients started posting on social networks, their pictures showing their “customized” boxes in the classical yellow shade of the Minions and with the figures of the main characters. Many of the users that joined in with the hashtag #MinionBoxes assured they were going to keep the box.Amazon has used their boxes, even the tape they seal them with, to promote internal services, such as Amazon Prime. The company has also used its “Lockers” service in the US to advertise contents inside the platform, but this is the first time the company opens their doors to external advertisers, in this case, the producing company Universal.
