The international advertising awards New York Festivals announced the finalists of the following categories: Avant-Garde, Brand Entertainment, Effective Creativity, Digital Design, Direct and Collateral, Film, Film Craft, Integrated, Outdoor, Package Design, Print, Public Relations and Media Relations, Public Service Ads, Radio and Students. The winners will be revealed May 21st in the New York Show. In this edition of the New York Festivals awards, they managed to expand their global scope with entries received from more than 89 countries around the world. The US has the lead with 230 pieces that ended up as finalists, increasing in 24.5% in relation to last year. The United Kingdom managed to have 126 entries in the awards round, 115 pieces from Australia classified, 85 from France, 64 from Brazil, 55 from South Korea and 52 from Swedish agencies entered as finalists. A global summary of the finalists by region revealed that North America has 278 pieces which classified, Central America 8, Latin America 99, Western Europe 529, Eastern Europe 21, Asia/Pacific 311 and the Middle East/Africa 50.The Great Jury 2015 is made up of more than 400 creative directors and CCOs of 100 countries around the world. All these people determined the finalists online and in parallel, some took part in a live session to judge the pieces. All the finalists will be evaluated by the Executive Jury, a group of elite creatives that will discuss live from the 15th until the 19th of May all the finalist pieces.
