The investment in digital advertising in the US will reach US$27.05 billion in 2015, according to eMarketer’s research. For 2017, when advertising expenses reach US$ 37.36 billones, Facebook and Twitter will have 33.7% of the national market. The market is shifting towards the most popular social media and the consumption of ads in mobile devices.In 2015, Facebook’s earnings for advertising will reach US$ 6.82 billion, approximately one fourth of the total market. Twitter will take 5% of the market, increasing their advertising earnings up to US$ 1.34 billion. Twitter will excede Yahoo for the first time in advertising income during 2015, according to an estimate by eMarketer. Although Yahoo will have a positive growth this year, for the first time it will lose a part of the market share, going down to 4.6% in 2014, compared to 5.5% last year.Google will keep its position in the market, behind Facebook, but its share of digital advertising in the US will fall from 13.7% in 2014 to 13.0% this year. Twitter’s and Facebook’s earnings for advertising are mostly due to the mobile market. For the first time the investment for mobile will exceed that of the one in fixed devices, increasing from US$ 9.65 billion to US$14.67 billion in 2015. The expenditure in fixed ads will go down this year.At the closing of 2015, Facebook’s earning for mobile ads will remain in US$5 billion. For 2017, the income for this category will increase more than 50%.
