Wave Festival will add points to the Crema yearbook

The results achieved by agencies in the Wave Festival in Rio, which will take place on the 15th and 16th of April in the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro will be valid as points for the Top 30 Regional ranking of the Crema yearbook, published by Adman.The punctuation obtained by the agencies in the festival will multiply by six, the same way as in other Latin Amerian festivals. International events such as Cannes, Onde Show and D&AD will also count as points. The most recent edition of Crema, published August last year, had AlmapBBDO as first, resuming the position that was occupied by Del Campo S&S from Argentina in 2012, and by Ogilvy Brazil in 2013.One of this year’s novelties in Wave is the creation of a category, Branded Content. The initiative is the answer to advertiser’s growing interest in the topic. “The idea for this category has existed for a few years, but we feel that now the market is mature enough on the subject for us to be able to reach it”, stated Mar’ia Laura Nicotero, executive director of events of the Grupo Meio & Mensagem, organizers of the festival.Following is a complete list of categories: Film, Film Craft, Press, Outdoor, Cyber, Mobile, Radio, Promo, Direct, PR, Design, Green Wave, Branded Content and Blue Wave. There is, also a specific category for students.
