Just a few months after taking over as the new CEO of Sprint, Bolivian Marcelo Claure, is already proving a bold new approach and direct to simplify mobile services.Claure, the first Latino CEO born abroad who runs a telecommunications company in the US history, demonstrates his commitment to engage and connect with Hispanic consumers, covering this topic in its current advertising campaign. “As Bolivian-American, I understand what Hispanic consumers need us as their mobile service provider,” Claure said. “We, of course, want to create the best experience for our Hispanic customers. Since more than a third of Hispanics in the US are born abroad and most have family out of it, I know how important it is for us to stay connected with our friends and family.”The national television campaign presented at the Latin Grammy in local Univision branches is starring Claure. As main character, he speaks with Hispanic consumers about Sprint’s commitment to deliver more mobile services with “best value phone”. Claure comments are welcome and directly related to the Hispanic consumer, a task that he takes seriously because of his Latino heritage and passion for the community.The campaign is on air on all major channels of Hispanic television from Friday, November, 21st.
