Comcast reveló su nueva asociación con Walgreens

Yesterday, the global media and technology company, Comcast, unveiled its new partnership with Walgreens to expand the reach of its Internet Essentials program to about 300 Walgreens Pharmacy stores in South Florida. This announcement was made during a special event held at the Overtown Youth Center, where details of the creation of the first areas of digital learning in Florida were revealed, which will serve to promote the goal of the company to help close the digital gap ensuring internet access to the low-income students and their families.”The concept of a healthy community involves giving families education on health and wellness, but it goes far beyond. Part of the effort is also to ensure that families have access to the technology needed to stay healthy and that is achieved with the access to broadband internet service at home, allowing parents where to get the vaccine against influenza or what doctor to visit. On the other hand, students can use it to do their homework and families can communicate more easily with their loved ones anywhere in the country and around the world,” David Cohen, Comcast’s executive VP, said.As part of the partnership, the program materials will now be available to customers in nearly 300 Walgreens Pharmacy stores throughout South Florida from Vero Beach to Key West.
