Last October, 8th, the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) held the first edition of a series of meetings entitled Focus on, with the aim of educating the industry of film and television through lectures on relevant topics to the audience. This time, Luis Miguel Messianu, president and CCO of ALMA, and Paul Bouche, CCO of Astracanada Productions, were the invited spokespersons, who talked about entertainment content and advertising, and how the dynamics of today makes that both converge.”I was looking for a subject that was interesting for both the agencies and production companies, and this idea of two worlds merging was the perfect bridge. We had to think of content that can travel from one platform to the other,” Messianu said to PRODU. “With new technologies and new media, we are seeing that fusion is increasingly important and is confusing the line between what entertainment and typical content are of what the commercial content is,” Bouche said. The appointment for the next Focus on will be on the premises of The Lab Miami, a location that is acting as sponsor with producer Whiskey Films.”We are pleased to be part of this initiative, since we are interested in- as a community- the film industry and television united,” Leda Barham, executive producer of Whiskey Films said.
