La actriz Elba Escobar y la experta culinaria, Helena Ibarra, son las protagonistas de Saboridades
Saboridades produced by Laureano Frontado, Alexander Marquis and Mark Purroy, is a theatrical experience that combines two attractive features: kitchen and music. Its protagonists, actress Elba Escobar and culinary expert, Helena Ibarra, are responsible to engage an audience through flavors and sounds. Led by Whiskey Films and the Venezuelan Art Festival Miami, Saboridades reaches Brickell on October, 25th at the Flamingo Theater Bar.Two of the producers talked to PRODU to give more details on this work, which was born in 2012 and whose main topic is music from a live pianist. “It is not the first time Whiskey Films participates in the theatrical world (…) This concern arose from the number of plays and monologues that were appearing in Caracas.” The work will be on the tables with support from Marcos Purroy, who has some years organizing the Venezuelan Art Festival in New York City. “This year, for the first time, is being assembled in Miami.” It’s a unique opportunity to present Saboridades in Miami as part of the Festival,” Marquis said.To take viewers on a journey through their memories is the main objective of this proposal. However, Marquis said that since this is a novelty, it has encountered some obstacles, including the impossibility of having Venezuelan chocolate in Miami. “We want to make Saboridades in a format that can soon be replicated in other countries in Latin America,” the producers concluded.
