AARP, the nation’s largest defense organization of rights, has announced plans to celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month through a series of special events and offers, both locally and nationally, to pay tribute to the impact Hispanics have had on the community over the entire month, until October, 15th. “The Hispanic Heritage Month is very important for everyone in AARP” Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez, VP of multicultural markets and scope of AARP, said. “This time of year allows us to show the variety and depth of the Hispanic culture and heritage, and the impact they have had and continue to have in our country. Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with our state offices, we can support a large number of events and initiatives all over the USA”.AARP will organize and participate in numerous events and programs throughout the country; from the presentation of the Legacy Award to Carlos Vives at the Hispanic Heritage Awards to joint work with CNC in Miami; from a fun football event in Washington DC to Zumbando in Barrio in New York with the Hispanic Federation, and more.
