Los artistas plásticos Edwin Gil y Alexander Mijares presentarán Faces of diversity con el apoyo de Sherwin-Williams
Sherwin-Williams and Hispanic artists Edwin Gil and Alexander Mijares, will combine their colors and talents to create community art projects in Dallas, TX and Charlotte, NC as part of the celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month. “The support that Sherwin-Williams provides to the Faces of diversity campaign, is proof that this company believes in the power of color and art to transform our communities,” Gil said. “Sherwin-Williams continually supports Hispanics and provides tools, in this case color, to bring about positive change in our schools, which ultimately changes the thinking of our children by exposing the consequences of bullying.””Public art is an important part of any urban landscape,” Mijares said. “I am very pleased to collaborate with Sherwin-Williams in this valuable project, which will be on display for the city of Dallas and its residents for years to come. As a Hispanic, I am proud to work with a company that values our contributions to the cultural landscape of the US.””Color is an important part of every culture, and Sherwin-Williams celebrate cultural influences every day of the year,” Jackie Jordan, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams, said. “Our palettes are inspired by the stories and traditions in the different Hispanic customs. Contributions of color and design of Latinos around the world make our homes in America beautiful places where our families can live and grow”.
