Animal Music’s Facundo Funes: Our goal is to enrich an idea by allowing creative feedback and different options to choose from

Facundo Funes, Animal Music’s director, spoke with PRODU about the current innovative proposal of the music production house, as well as the new talent that has joined the team.From the current advertising scene, Animal Music decided to invest time in creating music ideas or find good references for a project, rather than producing music. “Just like good advertising directors, our goal is to be able to enrich an idea the agency has, by allowing creative feedback, different ideas and options,” said Funes. “That is our challenge, since hitting the REC button and recording music is just too easy,” he added.Funes said he’s been lucky to work at agencies for 10 years, as well as knowing well the dynamics and client requirements, which is exactly the point which the production company wants to focus on. “Our current goal is to help agencies with their projects so as to ease the burden on them,” he said. Another development from the music production company is the addition of Alberto Farinas, who studied at Alma DDB and is a passionate musician. “Such a combination is very hard to find, that’s why we are very happy to have him in the team. His vision is from a thinking producer, not so much from a musician, adding up his love for music makes the search for music ideas an extremely fun experience to him,” he pointed out. The music director summed up by saying: “Alberto would be the third “animal” bred in the agency; the second is Juan Manuel Martín Fraga (Manana) former JWT Argentina. Together we make a good team of soldiers trained in the agency trench.”
