Under the title Influencing the Future of Planning, a meeting of strategists from DDB Latina offices in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, the United States, Spain, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Chile was held in Miami to discuss the role of the planner within their agencies and design the evolution of that position in shops across the región.They also analyzed the best that is being done in the region to provide a fact-based launching pad for creative ideas, and discussed the opportunities to be found in partnering data with an understanding of the culture. The big idea of DDB Latina leaders is to continue learning more about the consumer and convert that knowledge into better ideas. All the heads of planning in the region met to design the future and decide what we can do in a world where data should serve to provide better insights. Also, to reevaluate what will be our role in the process of innovation. Im thrilled that we have such talented people in the region and to know that from now on well be working in a much more integrated way, said Juan Isaza, regional planning director at DDB Latina and leader of the event.For his part, Juan Carlos Ortiz, president of DDB Latina, said well continue working to consolidate the way planning connects data with ideas. That will be the best way to build the most influential brands of the future.
