The AME Awards, honoring the best in Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness, has announced its shortlist for 2014.Members of the Grand Jury, made up of interactive marketers, planners and creatives from around the world, has selected the list of finalists from work presented by 22 countries.The selection reflects multiple trends this year, including campaigns recruiting celebrities to promote brands, cause marketing and branded entertainment. Noteworthy brands include Oreo, Mercedes-Benz, Durex, Cornetto, Gillette and Adobe.Among agencies, seven were preselected: Leo Burnett Worldwide, Melbourne; PHD Red, China; Fred & Farid, Paris; Heimat, Berlín; DDB Tribal Group GmbH, Germany; Saatchi & Saatchi, Los Angeles, and Starcom MediaVest Worldwide, United States.Germany ended up leading the field this year with 33 nominees, while the United States was honored with 19, China had 11 and France 10. Next in line were Australia with six entries, the Philippines with five, Japan with three, and Brazil, Canada, Malaysia and Sweden with two each.
