Continúan revelándose características de los millenials
In past surveys, Tr3s has focused on how Hispanics born in the U.S.A. are boosting population growth. This time, the multiplatform network gives details about their way of life, and finds that it is very different from that of Hispanics 10 years ago.Not only do those born in the United States surpass immigrants as the dominant group in the demo of young Latino adults, but between then and now the previously prosperous economy took a dive. For those reasons and due to the difficulty of finding jobs, the life of Hispanic millennials has taken an unexpected turn.Tr3s has published some preliminary results of its study Hispanic Adult Millennials, which concentrates on the subjects of work and play.Based on its analysis, some ideas may be gleaned about what life is like nowadays for adult Hispanic millennials:Almost half still live at home, specifically 45 percent of Hispanics between ages 18-34 live with their parents. The lack of money is the main reason for not moving out on their own. Living with parents is a way to share resources with close family members, the so-called circle of confidence. The marriage rate is dropping rapidly, but many unmarried couples live together and share what money and goods they have. Finally, they are very focused on going to college (49 percent), in order to achieve their ultimate goal of obtaining good jobs and starting a career. Those in university make moderate choices that reduce their burden of debt.
