General Motors hailed as Company of the Year by Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers picked General Motors as its Company of the Year for its work in the advancement of science, technology, mathematics, engineering, education, or STEM, in the Hispanic community, and for recognizing the achievements of its Hispanic employees.The Star Awards, presented annually by the Society, honor individuals and corporations for their dedication, commitment and efforts in supporting the growth and advancement of Hispanic students and professionals pursuing STEM careers.Thousands of students and professional engineers were present in Indianapolis when GM was honored as Company of the Year at a presentation of the Star Awards last Nov. 2.
