PepsiCo launched a new video based on its Performance with Purpose program, which has been a company guideline since 2007.This program outlines the companys goals to include boosting its commitment to providing a wide range of foods and beverages, finding innovative ways of minimizing its impact on the environment and cutting costs through energy and water conservation, as well as reducing the use of packaging materials, assuring safety in the workplace for employees around the world, and supporting and investing in local communities where the company operates.The program, according to PepsiCo, is based on three fundamentals: human, environment and talent sustainability.The new video is focused on the first fundamental human sustainability stressing that PepsiCo anticipated the growing interest in health and well-being more than 15 years ago, and continues innovating to offer consumers a wide variety of options.To us, Performance with Purpose doesnt mean we run our business normally and then do good deeds on the side. It doesnt mean subtracting from the bottom line to boost our reputation or foregoing profits to ease our conscience. It means that we bring together what is good for our business with what is good for the world. It is about integrating purpose in everything we do said Indra Nooyi, president and CEO of PepsiCo.
