IPG Mediabrands announces new executive structure in Southern Cone

IPG Mediabrands, the Interpublic Group’s global network of media agencies, has announced new appointments to the group’s executive structure in Southern Cone nations as part of its growth plan for the region that kicks off in January 2014.Martin Guirado, who since early 2012 has been president of UM Argentina, will assume the presidency of IPG Mediabrands, Argentina. In this new role, Martin will be in charge of the group’s operations, leading the development of all Mediabrands’ specialized services in the market. “We’ll have a lot of challenges and innovations in the business next year, which always keeps us upgrading our offer to the Argentine market” Guirado said. For his part, Nicolas Ramonde, up to now president of Initiative in Argentina and Uruguay, becomes the new president of IPG Mediabrands in Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. “Our teams have the talent and the vision to provide the best marketing solutions for advertisers and brands looking for a high level of growth and productivity” he said.In their new positions, Martin Guirado and Nicolas Ramonde continue reporting to Pablo Rodriguez, president of World Markets, LatAm for IPG Mediabrands. “These new challenges being taken on by Martin and Nicolas will help speed up the growth and consolidation of Mediabrands in the Southern Cone, with the results certain to be seen way ahead of schedule” Rodriguez said.
