Director Julian Zuazo is the new name on the roster of RedMagma Media. He began his career as an advertising creative in the United States and took up film direction soon after.Zuazo said that joining the agency means “working with someone I’ve known for a long time, who inspires tremendous confidence and who has very interesting ideas about the business, because they’re very open-minded and with very few limits”. He is talking about executive producer Massimo Martinotti, and adds that his expectations about this new step is to take on big projects, to surround himself with talented people and help creatives see the best possible filming of their ideas.Though the director has not worked directly in the Hispanic market, he says it holds immense opportunities, “as many or more than the English-speaking market” – plus it has some great creatives brimming with ideas. Zuazo also says that “the United States is the birthplace of communications research, new formats, new formulas, new ways of making movies, it all starts here and I want to be part of it”.He is currently shooting a new spot for a Spanish brand and has a short fiction film in the works.
