Leverage. Influence. Lead. That is the name of the program created by Smith College Executive Education for Women together with Univision Communications Inc.s Womens Leadership Council for the purpose of developing leadership capabilities among the women of that company. This project for professional growth is sponsored by Univision Academy and Univisions Womens Leadership Council in Miami.The co-head of the steering committee for Univisions Womens Leadership Council and president of content distribution and corporate business development, Tonia OConnor, said that with this program, the Leadership Council has committed itself to the professional growth of women in business. At Univision we are firmly focused on enhancing the performance and development of our people and in this case, harnessing the talent of Univision women said OConnor. We look forward to working with Smith College Executive Education to help prepare the next generation of women leaders.For his part, the president of Univision Networks, Cesar Conde, said that the performance of our networks is tied to the inclusion and development of our leaders. The program will be given by business-school professors and leadership experts along with women from Univisions offices in Miami, who hold positions as programming managers, producers, news anchors and reporters. The program designed by Univision Academy and Smith College is focused on developing leadership skills.
