Martinotti: Necesitamos creadores con una visión muy amplia

Massimo Martinotti, president of RedMagmaMedia in Miami, told PRODU that his company’s roster now features such talented Brazilian directors as Fabio Soares, the Trabulsi & Neimand duo, and Willy+Ale. According to Martinotti, “If we look at the industry, we realize that we need creative people with a wider vision. Real storytellers, creators of memorable characters who can apply such talents to commercials and all the other platforms available. All the directors we’re adding to our roster belong in that category while also venturing into the fields of art, photography, movies, and so on.”Fabio Soares was chosen in 2004 for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Director’s Showcase at Cannes, and throughout his career has worked with big-name agencies in Brazil for clients like Toyota, Fiat, VW, HSBC and Gatorade, besides directing the launch of the Blue Man Group in Brazil.The Trabulsi & Neimand duo has developed projects for P&G, Palmolive, and for agencies both in Brazil and internationally.For their part, Willy+Ale have directed commercials for such brands as TAM, GM, P&G, Nivea and Avon, and between the two of them have garnered international awards and a wealth of experience with well-known agencies.“In a multicultural, multiplatform world like ours, we need directors who are really versatile and creative. Brazilian directors have traditionally had great success at international festivals like Cannes. At a certain point we felt our roster was lacking Brazilian talent, which, as we’re finding out, has fantastic appeal to both the Hispanic and general markets,” Martinotti said.
